“Family Photo Day” – Photograph by Angela Barber
Family portrait photography with children is, if The Simpsons is anything to go by, the most difficult sort of group photo to take. Whilst the arrival of digital cameras means we’re able to re-do shots that weren’t perfect, this can be a curse as much as a blessing. Often it’s the first few photos that are the most natural, before cheeks start aching as ‘one or two photos’ turn into two hundred to the sound of “just one more!” If you’re planning to present your photos in photo books or other sorts of photo gifts, it can take days looking for the best one (though you can always turn the bloopers into a photo mousemat!)
